ok,

i have a hugely amazing deal coming up to get 20 inch eagle alloys (chrome) with 20 inch 712 zr rated kuhmos for like $3500 canadian

that is an amazing deal because they retail for like $6500..just thinking...considering my new mods(ss hood, airplane spoiler, testarossa side skirts, z3 fenders ..*yes z3 fenders* custom front and rear end) would 20 inch CHROME look sweet or what??

thanks

Get the Sledge hammer out.

And even then, it would be really really hard....

iroc2nv, not to flame but 3500 for doesn't sound like that good of a deal for 20 inch eagles with kumhos. Check out a place called super-buy-tires if you want 20's for a good deal.. by the way what does 3500 can come to in us? i was thinkin like 2900?

and the cost in usd is around $2100

It seems like you are going for an import street racing type motif with your car. So when I think about the direction your goin in and then wheels the last thing that comes to mind is 20in. chrome rims. They just dont really seem to fit your theme. However I have seen 20's on thirdgens with no fenderwell modification.

255-35-20 is too tall. It's 27 inches tall wheel and tire, and you're lucky to get a hair over 26" tall to fit on a thirdgen. Stock wheel/tire height is 25.6"

255-30-20's would fit, and tirerack has them for $422 a tire

I don't see any other sizes that are even close to the right size.

I have seen 20's on a camaro before, but i sure as hell wouldn't want to feel the ride on those ridiculous tires.

Not a flame, just an opinion, I think 20s would not look right, 17s look really good on 3rd Gens IMO.

i like the look of the 20s in the iroc chrome style but i think the 18 would be better, just for everyday drivablity affordability and u could lower the car a bit so it doesnt look like a monster truck like that green one does, save some money and go with 18s.

sell your car... buy a SUV then drop the 20's on it

the bigger the rims, the more they are going to abstract from the cars looks ... but your all ready past that point anyway...

i got mix feelings about rims bigger then 17's on a 3rd gen

to each his own

If you do it right they can look good.......maybe a picture of the rims you are thinking about would help....

Why not 19's and a drop??.......You save quite a bit of money and it's really only 1 inch......

I think big chrome rims would look good........then again, I think your spoiler looks good......

I don't know if the rims go with all that stuff, or if all that stuff won't go good with the rims.

If those wheels are such a good deal, buy them, then sell them for a profit and get some nice looking 17" wheels for your car, 20 in. wheels look silly on anything if you ask me.

I think it depends on how you do the suspension. If you leave it completely stock then you can probably get it to work as a daily driver. I prefer to do adjustable suspension so I went with 18's. I've seen 20" chrome iroc wheels on a 89 RS in person and I didnt think it looked good. The rest of his car didnt compliment the wheels so it looked out of place. I'm not a fan of chrome on sports cars anyway, but hey man, do whatever you think will look good. Thats what really matters.
