Where to buy Ram-Air?

Hey all, trying to remember where I saw the functional Ram-Air setup. I want a Ram-Air II hood for my Firebird and I remember seeing a TPI Ram-Air box somewhere... I thought it was Hawks Thirdgen Parts but I don't see it anymore... can anybody point me in the right direction?

Okay, update, I did find a ram-air box on Hawk's Thirdgen Resource, so I'm guessing I could buy the Ram Air II hood and the TPI air box and as long as I say "yes" to having the holes cut in the front of the hood it will be functional just like that? Anybody have any experience with this?

( :: realizes he's whoring his own post :: )

The ram-air box: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=1957

The hood: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...il?v=1&pid=390

I noticed that the Ram-Air II hood listed for the Camaro says it's not functional unless you buy the ram-air box too, but it says nothing about it on the Ram-Air II hood listed for the Firebird, I'm confused as to why.

you get that hood with the cut outs and that box with the k&n filter you should have some type of ram air effect...

True, but I figured a lot of the effect would be lost and just fly over the box and into the engine bay. Now true this would be a very good cold-air setup and would keep engine bay temps down, but I'd really like a true ram-air setup if it exists (one that rams ALL of the air going into the nostrils directly into the TPI ram-air box.)

when I had that set-up it was essentially what you said, a great cold air intake.

I had the suncoast version, and air blew rite over it into the engine bay. NowGeorge at GT Auto makes the same set-up but he told me it was "re-designed" and better. I think thats the box they are selling through hawks and them cause they distribute GT Auto stuff. so I cant really rate it, but I know the suncoast box has NO ram air effect at all.
