As many details would be great. I know this is posted alot, the swap i mean. But I wanna do it right, and that means questions. "If in doubt, ask." So im asking
Thank you.

First I took and cut out alot of the "extra" stuff in the ashtray area, leaving only a very small portion on the sides and along the back of the hole. Then I took a small peice of cardboard using a knife I cut it down and traced out the general shape of the ashtray. Then I took a sheet of 1/8" plexiglass and cut it to that shape, and dremelled it down until it fit snug against the back of the ashtray area and along the sides. I have power mirrors and windows so I needed to get all of that in there. I started by drawing an x from the corners to gain the center of the piece of plexiglass. I took and measured out the power mirror switch and using my dremel and a cutoff wheel cut the shape out. Be slow and methodical here, as if you break it you start over. Once the mirror switch fit I measured out for the window switches. All of this barely fits in there so you have to put everything very close together. Once all of it fit together into the plexiglass and then into the console, I painted the bottom side of the plexiglass black. Once it was dry I used a product from Ace hardware called Plastic Weld. It's a 2 part epoxy product. I mixed it up and sparingly used it on the edges. I then clamped the whole deal and let it set. After about 5 hours I was able to put the switches back in and mount it in the car. This isn't a great picture but you can tell how it looks here .
