Why would you want to? Just wondering.....if you raised it 4 inches it would look like a huge wing up in the air......would look funny to me.
someone told me that i could get another of those spoilers... cut the bases off of it, and attach them to the car. Then, I would need to use fiber glass resin or bondo and attach the original spoiler to the two bases I chopped off the other spoiler... that would make it twice as high... would that look g a y?
Thanks,
TOM

It sounded like a good idea, but in reality it doesn't look as good as it sounds. Any wing that is taller than the Z28 Hi - Rise spoiler doesn't look all that good. A wing should flow with the body lines and look like part of the car an not as an attatchment.
I remember a while back, someone posted a pic of someone who tried to raise the wing via the pedestals - it did not look good at all.

Just go buy a new/used High rise spoiler. Anyone know of someone who has attached a 3rd brake light to their high rise....please post pic!!!
But I think it would look good if you were to do it but I would just buy the high rise and you'd like it alot more

The Hi - Rise on birds looks good. I wanted one, but I need an outside non glass atatched third brake light and the Hi - Rise does not have one. Also, the Hi - Rise wing on Birds would look even better if the ends were extended or tappered to fit the width of the trunk because Firebirds have a 4" wider rear.

Vaguely resembles the knight 2000 when it was in " turbo mode " or whatever it was. Didn't a spoiler pop out when it went into turbo mode?

After looking at the picture that fyrelance photo'd I don't think that the raised spoiler lookes good. Looks like it would be easily broken too.

There wouldn't be much of a point to raise it, except for looks. You are going to be creating more of a drag if you lift, slowing you down. You might as well save weight and get an aluminum one to save some weight.

Aluminum! That sounds like a worse idea. I have yet to see a car where they look good. Unless you do a lot of autocrossing at speeds over 80, there is no really good reason for an aluminum wing. I saw one that looked cool because it was custom made and did not look too much like an aluminum wing.
Most of the time I would say if you like it then go for it. If you care what other people think about your car - then don't do it.
I care about what people think about my car to the point where I don't want to something that will get me laughed at.
