Question about painting my car

I'm thinking about getting my 91 formula painted red and was just wondering if anyone knows how much im going to have to spend and if getting a maaco job would be the stupidest thing i could do???

Don't go the maaco route, get it painted for more and enjoy the good job for longer.

Yeah ill have to agree with 92transam......dont go with maaco....even though you might be excited bout getting it painted....my friend got his 3rdgen painted there.....ugh what a horrible job. They didnt tape up any of the weatherstripping, door handles, and got paint on the corners of his t-tops and on his exhaust tips. I wouldnt go there....save up more and get done the right way.

the previous owner of my car had a fact o bake (equivalent of maaco) paint job on the car. when i got it repainted the painter showed me that once started, you could peel strips of clear coat 2 feet long off by hand. now that is some good sticking stuff!! save up your money it will be worth it. it will set you back about 1500-2000 so be prepared.
