This is just my opinion......

Buy some black GTA rims and some new rubber.

You'll be stoked at how good it will look.

Save the rest of the $$$ and slowly acquire parts for a new, bigger, engine. ( It WON'T effect your insurance, because the insurance companies use the VIN # and it's engine code to identify the engine......and your VIN number will always reflect the car as being a V6 )

Group a wheels has nice rims that fit our cars for resonable prices - I mean the ROH wheels. Simmons wheels are too pricey for me, but they look incredible.

Keep the original rims, they look fine.
Inevitably you'll need the money for maintenance and other small mods.
I personally enjoy seeing a clean, original bird like yours.

I agree with Fatal88. Save the money and go to college. Trust me you will need it. I am trying to fix up my 84 Z and go to college. For some reason the college is spending more money than my Z. There is always later to add rims and a new motor. I am looking to add a 350 or maybe bigger but for now all my money is going to college. Just think you pay for your college and imagine the mods you can do to your car with that degree and the cash you would be making. What part of Ohio you from maybe we could get together and shoot the shizzy. Just think about it. I forgot to say the car looks good. Enjoy it when you get to drive it.

Sounds like a excellent idea to me. THen once your done College and are making good money...you can do any mod to your car you like. Yeap go get a education first...unless you want to flip burgers for the rest of you life and drive a beat up 3rd gen. No offence intended to anyone either. College.College.College.

I vote College!

There is actually I guy here somewhere in town that has a 67 Camaro with a 360 in it...does 12's all day. I personally would never do that but, to each there own. I also know a guy who put a 350 sbc in a Mustang II. Hey that was me. It was a bet that I couldn't put that engine in that car in 1 weekend. If I won I got the car. All and all I got the car but sold it to the guy who helped me drop the engine in. To each there own, unless he meant to say 396 and just made a type o.

i hope you guys realize that those eagle 77's require spacers and such..they are a front wheel drive offset..

i had them on my iroc and i needed to change my bolt pattern to get them on..

Yeah, I needed spacers for my Eagles, but they came in 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern, which is what a third gen is.

That works fine till you get into a wreak of some kind and the insurance claim adjuster finds out it has a V-8 in it and not a 6 banger, this happened to a buddy of mine that swapped a 350 into a Nova, he ran into somebody else (a new Lexus), and totaled it, his insurance refused to pay anything and then dropped him. Now he's having to buy a Lexus, ouch!!!

I'm 15, and all stories I hear sound like you do nothing with insurance companys but give them money, and they do nothing but refuse to pay you.
