Please Don't Erase. Everyone Read
This is one of the only message boards that I go to and even though this has nothing to do with cars or third gen vehicles I have a problem. There is no open forum here so I just hope to get an answer or suggestion before this is locked.
My PS2 is having the hardest time reading discs. It constantly goes off and says DISC READ ERROR. I just bought NBA Streets and it will never read it. On occasion it reads Madden 2K3. It just doesn't want to work all the time. The real biter is that it won't even read or register the LASER LENS CLEANING DISC!!!
I am sure I am not the only one that has had this happen so if there are any suggestions on how to fix it without using money. People that know how to get to the inside to fix it or clean off the lens or somthing. I really need the help because I am getting really tired of buying games in hopes that they just might work 1 out of the 100 times I reset the machine.

Well my PS2 came with a yellow sheet that had a tech support number on it. You might wanna call that. Or post your problem on a PS2 message board rather than a third gen f-body message board

I think you'd probably get more help on the PS2 message Board. Anyway the cleaning disc should just be like a CD of music, just put it in got to a certain track and it cleans it.

Yeah I really should not answer cause this just doen't apply here. but if you play alot of rented games that have a sticker on the disc, your ps2 is shot. Depending when you bought it they may repair it for you, but do a seach on a PS2 forum next time instead of here. I won't reply again, sorry.
You know that we have a strict policy against non-tech and yet you think that you are special enough to post it anyway because you don't go to any other message boards? That excuse doesn't fly. This is a warning.
