i painted over my rear emblem with black body-paint... couldn't stand the gold anymore...

but what i did realize before doing this, if you take the emblem off, the symbol is painted on the back of clear plastic... so if you were to find something strong enough to strip the paint, you could just paint Blue (or whatever) in the grooves, let it dry, and then paint the rest black.

i dont know what one could use to strip that paint off though, most of it comes of with scratching, but some if the areas are too thin to fit a tool of any kind.

Ive got one in blue. its sitting in my back window of my Grand Am. I bought a set of grid taillights from a Trans Am a few years back and the adhesive came loose. So I took it off and set it in the back window of my new car.

My blue one has a small scratch or two on it. I'd have to look at it tomorrow morning to see how it really looks. I think if you use that plastic buffing compound people on here have been using to polish their taillights, it would look mint.

I have a gold one too. the taillights on my 84 SE had it on there. It wasn't the flat 84 style but the curved one that goes on the 85+ lights.

How much would it be worth to you? I'd sell you the blue one if your really need it.
