You forgot to add an option for those with 14 inch wheels. They were on some early thirdgens believe it or not! That's a tiny wheel!!

I hope to go 18's in the back and 17's up front sometime before I die, but for now I have 16's

you know i thought about it, although i figured that most who would bother to post wouldn't have them.

in fact i've never seen a post with a thirdgen and 14" wheels that was actually owned by a member.

if someone here does please post a pic and i'll change it!

The ONLY reason i have 17's is because i was broke at the time and couldn't afford 18's.....

My car is a 85 SC 2.8MPFI

 

I'm on stock 16's but I plan on going with 17" Iroc wheels or maybe some ROH Snypers.

 

17's in front ... 18's in rear vette style, gotta love it.

 

I have 17's on the camaro and a set of 16 IROCs on my 'bird... which is now retired due to a busted rocker panel... I couldn't pull the 'bird out of it's snow bank in order to grab all 4 wheels (they have snows) and I needed snows in the back of the camaro real bad because I got stuck 3 times the first day I owned it (last weds). Anyhow, I now have 16" Irocs in back with 215 snows and 17" up front with the 275's... it looks REAL fruity... I plan to grab the front rims ASAP... when the snow melts enough... they look damn good on the camaro, but I can't bring myself to downgrade the summer wheels from 17x9 to 16x8...

 

I seem to like the look of 17's the best.

 

DUBS.....I know i'll get flamed for that....i'll soon be changing to 20 inch irocs this summer though.......

i want to get a set of nice 16" gta rims.

 

Bought mine with 14's on it. Stock it had those ralley style 14's in the picture above. That picture looks like my 82 used to--bright red, SC, etc... The really sad part is that my SC had a set of 14x7 chrome 10 hole cheapie wheels. Gave those away to my sister for her cutlass. Bought a set of new 15x7 88' Iroc wheels(in 1993)--dealer pulled them off and installed 16x8 before the car was purchased in 88 and they sat for 5 years in the 16x8 boxes. A few years ago, the 15x7's were taken off and 87 Iroc 16x8's were installed. Got those from a friend that purchased an 89 GTA that had them. He searched around and found a set of GTA wheels and sold me the IROC 16x8 wheels. The 15x7 IROC wheels live on, on my 1991 GMC Jimmy 4dr 2wd lowered 3 inches.

 

I will keep the black factory 16' crosslace rims as long as possible. I love the look of them. I just don't like our cars with anything larger than a 17 inch wheel.

 

I have the stock wheels on my Z right now but I am undecided on whether to get a new set just like them or some 17's-maybe the '01-2 SS wheels later on.

 

I'm rolling on the stock 91 V6 rims. The 15" ones. They came painted the same color as my car. I want to get ZR1's, C5's or Z06 rims.

My car has the 14's on it the 85 s/e they spin real nice though but my trans am has the 15"

17s. Would have gone with 18s in this style if they had made them. The 82 will roll on 18s though!

same here, i voted wrong. put 17's... meant 16's. i guess i'm getting a little ahead of myself b/c i'm thinking about getting some 17x9 4th gen ss wheels (ten spoke), and then painting them a dark chrome (not sure what that would be called... black chrome!?). i think they'd look sweet on a red car with black stripes (someday). so give me a little while and my vote will be right!

I have a set of 4th Gen Firehawk Rims w/ spacers need to be cleaned up in the pic they are only on the back.

 

17X9.5 ZR1 Chrome, I use to have the 91-92 Z28 16" wheels with the dips painted white.

drsmithson: Definitely go with the black stripes...the Z03 heritage package adds a lot of character. I'm going to eventually repaint my car, but I'm going to paint the black stripes on instead of keeping the factory vinyl tape version. Check out my web site for some pics of my 92. I'm afraid it is severely outdated, though...
