A driver's wheel on the wrong side of a 1991 Camaro Z28 Convertible over in Australia, ALSO a member here......

Shifting with the left hand must be horrible for us right handers......

Here's a pic of my car, although the wheels are photoshopped onto it. Notice the extra side blinker, the original isn't allowed since it can't be seen in angle from behind.

H4 headlight conversion, rear sidemarkers required to be painted over (I removed it) No smog equipment at all, No cat, No computer controlled carb.

- And a BIG warning sign in front saying;
" CAUTION, FAST CAR!"

No, just kidding ;-)

I'm looking to modify my car into something like in this picture, but I'm unsure if it would pass vehicle inspection even with the right side blinker..

Aside from being unpleasant to shift, check that easy access e-brake! Fun fun fun!

It is, I learned to drive here in England... But I really preffer driving LHD.

But then again hand brake turns are awesome coz you can keep your right hand on the steering wheel.

As for fog lights, my car has them integrated into the original lights cluster. One of the previous owners did the work, very very good actually Everyone should get that mod.

PS: Thank my Deity we have sensible laws in this country and LHD cars are perfectly legal

Wow, that's trippy, I've never seen a RHD F-Body before.

I just realized something... that appears to be a four-speed manual....

I might be able to dig up a couple of pictures from Kuwait that have two ragtop Camaros if anyone would be interested.

This post was just to answer the original question of whether or not these cars were exported and, if so, pictures of them. The cars in my pictures even have the Arabic license plates on the back.

I just saw more pics of this Z28E elsewhere on the boards a few days ago, but now I can't find them. Anyway, they featured smaller tail lights to accomidate the larger license plate, euro-required breakaway mirrors, no spoiler, and flat hood (no louvers or scoops).

I would give anything for a set of reverse tailights off a Z28E. I have an 85 Z28 guys. If you got a set in good condition pm me.
Those reverse lights on the 4th gens look awesome as well!!!

I bought a 82 Z28 last week, I have been looking for a 3rd gen for a while for my next project now when the 72 is almost done. The thing is, I dont know all that much about the third generation and I could need some help here.

The car I bought (I live in Sweden) was sold new in Belgium. The car is missing the hood scoopes, rear spoiler etc and have those really cool looking rear view mirrors . Another thing is that there is no Z28 emblems on the car what so ever, there is a 5 litre emblem where the Z28 should be, the taillights are not the same as you are talking about in this topic, they look like ordinary tail lights. Except for that the car have all kinds of different options like rear disc brakes, power seat on the driver side, positraction etc.

Is it possible that its an Z28E?

I will send you some pictures as soon as I can

Magnus

First off, welcome to the boards, especially being a scandinavian member. There is a big FAQ section on these boards, and there is also a VIN decoder. Start there, and read the sticky's, after that you may do some searches and find lots of answers and then some.

I'm into birds myself, but you'll get some answers soon enough.

Thanks, its great to be here.

Ok, I will check out the site some more and come back with pictures as soon as possible.

The VIN is 1G1AP87H4CN152647 so its a Z28 for sure.

That 82 T Top pic, why would the hand brake still be on the right side and the gear shift be on the opposite?? That seems kinda wierd.....

Doesn't really matter what side the hand brake is on. And as for the shifter, it's only offset about an inch or so which wouldn't really make a great difference either. The less the have to alter for a swap like that the easier it is. Leaving the shifter and handbrake as they were makes things easier, and cheaper.

picture, anyone?

I finally scanned a pic of two Camaros in Kuwait City. Both are ragtops - one is a Z28 and the other is a RS. It's a rear shot of both cars side-by-side, but I'll upload it if anyone's interested.

cool to know all these thing actualy existed on these cars. I thought my 85 berlinetta had about everything they could have put on it but i guess not. And as far as the rear wiper thing goes they must have made them till 86 because my 85 berlinetta had one on it.
