painting wheels

i have an 84z t tops black with stock silver gfx. what i am wondering is when i paint my wheels should i paint it flat sattin or gloss i think i will do sattin i will leave the chrome rings tho i think it would look bad ***

Chrome rings? Do you mean the machined part of the wheel around the edge? If you don't, then I dunno what kind of wheels you have?

I've got the stock RS wheels that came on the car, originally painted red (body color). When I restored the body last year, I'd planned to replace the wheels with something aftermarket...my body guy said he'd see what he could do with my originals. He masked off all the machined edging and sprayed them charcoal gray with clear on top...they look so good now, I'm going to keep them on for awhile. I'll post pics as soon as the interior is redone.
