Rims can change the appearance dramatically, but a hood costs much less.
I would ordinarilly suggest getting the rims first, depending on what type you planned on getting, and since you said American Racing rims, which I don't like with the exception of the 200s and torque thrust, I suggest going for the hood.

The TT2's are a good choice........
The next time you take a flim to Wal-Mart tell them you want all the pictures on a CD also.....They will automatically download them for you and place them in the respective format for computers already for you.....

What rims do you have right now? You said you don't need to buy tires because you just got new ones, but will they fit the TT2's you want? Unless you have 16" IROC rims and your getting 16" TT2's, you'll need new tires.

Hey Cristy, when are you going to finish up your cardomain site so that we can check out your ride? If you put up a pic of your car and the rims you want I will throw them on your car tonight.

The easy way to do it is to:
Put the CD in
Open up the CD
Drag all of the pics you want over into a folder
Then just upload them to the website, there should be an option for this, however I have not used cardomain.
It is really easy.

Well....this is what I would do....but..it just depends how much money you have to spend.....I would go ahead and have the black sprayed red.....so....you car would be all one solid color. I agree that red..with black ground effects....that just sounds...blah..!...If you decide to get ground effects....you will have to change the back bumber and the font nose. Depends what you wanna do....so...what style of ground effects are you going with if you decide to go with a set? 82-84 style, 85-90 style, or 91-92 stlye?

Well from the factory my car was red with a silver bottom. When I got the chance I got the silver sprayed black. Then when I got gfx I went with black ones. I like the two tone look personally. I think it adds some character to the car. The monotone paint schemes were just to common for me. They look good, just too common. Here is my beast with red and black...
Sorry, I can't help more with the tire situation...I have 17s. You should be able to look in a book of tires though. Some 3rd gens came with 16s. You could run what the tire book at shops say they ran. Probably Z28s, Irocs, TAs, and GTAs. That should ensure proper fitage in the wheel well.
I don't know what it will do to your speedo though...
Anyway what tore look do you want to go for? A stock look, or a low profile sprot look? Do you plan to lower the car any?

300hpse...
lmao...
im trying to get the appearance of the car to look like its setting lower, will these rims/tires give it that appearance or do i actually have to lower it with different springs and or shocks?if i have to go with different springs and or shocks, what do you all suggest i go with?
btw,the molding strip that runs on both sides of the car,do you all think i should take them off?also on both sides there is the word "camaro" in metal glued to the sides, take em off leave em on?IMO when i get the ground effects for it,i really dont think it will look good with them on there, what do you all think?

I'd definitely go with wheels, they make an amazing difference in the appearance of your car over stock. I was considering the TT2s as well but i just see too many cars with them today, mainly mustangs. Well generally if u put bigger wheels on your car it will make it look lower and low profile tires will give u that desired look a little bit. also i'd paint the ground effects red so your car is all one color and take off the metal camaro thing.

If you want a lower appearance, you need to swap springs. It will help with your ride quailty as well. What size engine do you have? (make a differnece with the springs) V-6 engines like mine weigh less. We had to cut my new Eibach prokit springs to get the look. The rear was fine, but the front was sitting too high... Like over an inch higher then stock. We used a cutting wheel and took off 1/2 a coild and it leveled off.
As far as the rest of your suspension, you can stay stock and it will not effect the looks of your car. For ride quaility, I would beef everything up and go to energy suspension bushings.
You could go with lower profile tires to increase the lowered look, but it will mess up your speedometer...You could run a more agressive lowering spring then. Now low profile tires alone, I don't think it will help the lowered look..it will just increase fender gap and make it look taller, even though the car is actually closer to the ground.
As far as moldings...they can be removed, but sometimes the paint beneath is not so good. Alot of body shops used to tape off & paint up to the molding and not under, so you may have a paint ridge & mismatched colors, if the car has had any painting done. As for the emblems, same could be true. The paint might rip when the emblem comes off. If both have been on a while the paint below has not been faded like the body has...
A friend taught me a trick about removing anything double sided taped to the body. He said fishing line wil cut thru the tape w/o hurting the body. Then you can rub & roll off the old stuff left on the body.
Now if you are talking about leaving it off after a repaint? I say leave it off. I had mine on and left them off after the repaint and it makes a big difference. The shaving of the handles really stands out now and it did not before...Just left the body shop know your plans, so they can get the surface really nice on that body line.
Ok here is a look at my car with the gfx and the body moldings still on and the firebird emblems on, so you will have a comparison.

Oh and by the way puting low profile tires on doesn't mess up your speedometer. I had the 15x7 in wheels stock and went to 17x8s with low profile tires and my speedometer is still exactly on. I've got it radared
