cleaning behind the side moldings

cleaning behind the side moldings

I removed the moldings on the side of my car...the strip that goes from just infront to just behind the door. I got all of the adhesive off, but there are years of dirt embedded into the door making an out.ine of the strip. Anybody have a suggestion on how to clean this.

Hey hate to steal thead but i need to do the same thing..Does it have paint under that strip? mines plastic and sun discolored it?

Yeah

Yeah...mine were plastic and all discolored, but the paint underneath is in really good shape
