this one is an 86 iroc. it was black with blue interior. but it is primer now and has a black custom cloth interior. it has 4 wheel disk brakes with a 3.23 rear so he says. it needs a new passenger fender and nose cone, but being that i work at a body shop this is not a problem. i am suppose to go pick it up 2 weeks from now. i will post picks as soon as possible.

i plan on totally tearing it down after i get it and installing a roll cage and sub frame connectors. i also will fix any rust it has and sand it down to bear mettal and then shoot some epoxie primer everyware, from the interior to the underside of the car to the exterior and engine bay. i then paln on painting it a burnt orange mettalic like what came on 88 irocs, but slightly modifies with a little more mettalic, a little brighter orange, and a lot of pearl.

then my turbo motor and a t56 will go into it, though i have not decided which one, i have a 95 t56 out of a z, but am thinking about getting the tremic that uses the t5 stuff, but i still havent decided.

anyway

this makes 3 iroc i have now my red 87, my black 89 and know this 86.

that is a lot of projects on top of my supra project. oh well, it will be worth it.

It must be nice working at a body shop. Good luck on the other thirdgen. I could only have one thirdgen at a time.

 

my mom would be pissed if she knew i was getting this. i just bought a $5000 snap on krl 1001bpc box, and she blew up about that. so she wont know about it till it is running and looking good

no this is not a junk yard. it is the storage lot for the body shop.

 

the door is crap and the rear gfx is in the car. also, there is a decent amount of rust on the car, but it will be replace with new sheet metal.

 

pass side is ok. needs a fender and nose. also has rocker rust under the rear gfx.

 

it has a u haul hitch on it . it is for sale if anyone wants it

 

funtional fiberglass hood from 82 z 28 crossfire.

yes it is an iroc. i know all about the rpo's, and yes it is an iroc. the decals are there except the drivers door. the primer covers them. it has all power options, the overhead counsel, it was black on outside and has the black custom cloth package. it had an lg4 in it.

as for projects, this makes 4, but this is top priority. yes all of my turbo stuff and the 355 will make it into this car along with the 6 speed. the car needs lots of work because there is rust through all over the place on the floor boards, and on the rocker panels, and on the pass rear rocker. the floor boards being rusted through does not worry me because i planed on installing custum ones anyway to accomodate my exaust. all of the body rust is not a problem because as many know i work at a body shop and have the means to repair it all.
i will post pics as soon as i can of the car torn appart. i am about 75% done with the removal of everything.
