Red Camaro w/ black GFX?

Does anyone here have pictures of a Red Camaro with black GFX? Right now, my SC has no GFX, but a black strip runnin along the bottom of the car, in their place. I've been wanting to get GFX and paint them black, but whenever I visualize it in my head, it doesn't look good. So, coudl anyone post their thoughts, pictures, or photoshops?! Thanks!!!

Yea, that side view does make it look like it has gfx already, I'm just afraid of spending a lot of money on something I won't like. I will though. The gfx will be one of the first of many steps that will turn my SC into a Z28!

I think it wouldn't look much different then it does now. Do you like the look of it now?

I do like the look of it now, but I also like the looks of our cars with gfx. So my car with black gfx should look twice as good, right? That's what I'm hoping for, atleast. heh. bubbakutz, you do have a beautiful SC, I must say, and you're right about it not needing gfx.

Also, I'm slowly upgrading this thing up to what a '87 Z28 would have looked like. See, I've always wanted a Z, but I love my car too much to ever part with it, so I figured I'd swap in a 350 and throw some Z28 gfx on, and make necessary changes to the interior, and call it a Z28. I know it wouldn't really be a Z, but, it would to me and that's all that matters! So anyhow, that's the reasoning behind me getting gfx!

Hey, I just noticed something else. Bubbakutz, our SCs are both from '87, and yet your front end cover is quite a bit different from mine. I guess mine isn't original? Also,I was lookin at mine today, and I don't think it would look quite right if I took the gfx off my front end. I thought of doing that to keep my car uniform, atleast until I get the gfx for the rest of the car. But, now I just don't know. Maybe I should go hunt for a SC front end cover...

I guess.

Each to his own.

Sport coupes have a lot more aerodynamic drag cause they don't have the GFX.

Some of them can look nice....I don't know about tough.

Well, I was thinking a lot at work about my car (as if there's ever a minute in my day when I'm not), and now i'm thinking about your words Bubbkutz, and keeping the SC the way it was made... so! my plan now (of course, my plans change day by day, last week I was lookin around for a Chevelle) is to get new front cover, one like the original SC cover like Bubbakutz's, and geting rid of the black lines on the bottom when I get this thing repainted (I'm thinking hugger orange ).

One question though, in the picture you'll see that I outlined, I dunno, is that the air dam? I'm not sure if my car has that, or maybe it's just covered up by the current front end cover. Shoudl my car have one anyway?

Hey, I was lookin at your car Bubba, and thinking there's something about that car that's different... that makes it look extra good, and I realised it's that you don't have the rubber strips running along the side, nice touch, I think I'll end up doing the same... maybe...

thanks about the compliments, i appriciate it......glad u desided to keep it a sc.....we need more nicer sc out there.....well its part of the air dam, but the air dam is really down farther....i dont think that it would be there if u take off the cover u have on there now......anyone correct me if im wrong...yeah it never had and side molding on it and the girl had like 20 door dings on each side.....so when i got it repainted i had all the dents fixed.....i was gonna put molding on it but i just couldnt......it messes with the smooth flowness...plus another thing u might have not noticed is the clear lenses.....bought the side ones and custom made the front ones

I think sport coupes look ok without ground fx, my only complaint are the 3 slots in the nose!

I'll be taking a look below my car this afternoon on my way to work, I'll check to see if there's any sort of air dam there, if not I guess I'll just have to get one somewhere when I get a new nose piece. And yea, I saw the clear lenses in another topic, cool mod.

And personally, I think the 3 slots in the front are a cool look, another thing to set them apart from the Zs, I guess.

When I get it repainted, I'll definately put some thought into the areas you mentioned. I think, if I was to go with an orange, the recessed headlight areas would like great orange too. I don't know what I'd do with the grille, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!
