I recently got a powder coating machine and did some valve covers in Almost Chrome then the High Gloss Top Coat. when I did the gloss the "chromie" look disapeared. is there anything better to use so I can keep the chrome look? or will some other powders work better for a chrome look? thanks

Hmm, the clear is going to reduce the gloss, no way around it. It shouldn't do it much however. I recently did a wheel, and it still looks pretty shiny.

I'm not really sure why you lost alot of gloss unless it was put on too thick.
