OOO I love the idea of making them into side turn signals! Also you should try to make it as stated before so you can't see the LED's and umm where did you get the steering wheel?

12 Sec GTA - good call on the red light being troublesome with the local police.
To get them to "blink" with the turnsignals, all you would need to do is wire them in with the turnsignals downstream of the flasher. To get them to just turn on with the sidemakers, but not flash, wire them in before the flasher, or with the headlights. You could also just add another switch if you want to. I know you said you were thinking of wiring them with side markers, just realize that they might flash if you don't want them too.
They look good though. Would it kill you to try different colors so you can be legal?

The stearing wheel is off a Lumina early 90's. It is a direct fit replacment.
You may be right about the cops busting my chops. Since I have aftermarket white side markers maybe changing to a clear color would be a wiser move or a yellow to blink with the turnsignal is a good idea. Do they make white LED's? Where could I get them at?

Thanks for pointing that out to me. My car is faster than I am sometimes.
I am working on my back RS emblem going to try and do a reverse where only the RS lights up (per the ideas from some of you). And the LEDs are hidden. Should have the success or failule to report by Monday.

Very sweet!:hail:
Hey and idea for difussing the bulbs. It home depot in the lighting department... there are various plexiglass filters for floresent lights. Maybe that could tone the bulbs sharpness down and give to a smooth red look. Heck they may have a broken piece of something you could get for cheap!
Very cool!

ok first question....
Wheere do i get surface mount LED's, how much are they, and how cool do they look?
second, is there a table similar to the one in the tech article that tells the resistor i will need cause i just won an auction of 100 blue LEDS and im making a few light bars for the interior of my car.
and finally....
beautiful work man i love it, mind if i steal the idea?
