Came out pretty good.....still can't get the "deep" shine out of it.....I polished it on the car....and used a high speed buffer....I guess I'll have to try a couple different aluminum polishing products....(1st picture is raw)

Thanks for the positive feedback fellas!....and "burroughs"...those are the factory runners....I just sanded and polished them too....they came fantastic...have a really nice deep shine...and they really weren't that bad to do. For the Plenum.....I used a highspeed buffer with some mothers aluminum polish (paste) it worked well......but...it's just not as deep as I thought. I might try something called "wizards"...I've heard some good things about that product.

Dude, try sanding with 250 grit dry, 320 wet, 400 wet and then buffing with tripoli buffing compound on a hard wheel and then white rouge on a medium or soft wheel. It will really cut down your work and you get an absolutly awesome shine out of it. I tried it on one of my rims and it came out awesome. You can get the buffing compounds at Ace hardware as well as the buffing wheels. good luck.

After all the posts about polishing, I don't know why people spend 6-8 hours sanding and sanding when they can do the same job in 2. Looks good anyway

The hose covers really weren't that hard to install....I had alot of antifreeze though....from taking the hoses off.....I bought the cover from autozone for like $20 bucks....I'm not a mechanic at all...I'm more into paint and body....but..if I can add braided hose covers...I think a 5 year old child could too....haha

Sounds easy...I will have to make a trip to autozone and check them out. My car is more for play the daily duty now, I spend more time polishing it then driving it lately.

About your intake boot there was a post with a part number on one of the boards for it. They were only 12.00-15.00 dollars from GM parts direct. Realy cheap, I thought about getting one just to have a new one.

I have an extra one. If you decide you don't want a brand new one, I will sell you mine if you want it for $10 + shipping.

Let me know if you are interested. If so, email me at webmaster@bhamfbody.com.

Well...I took the rubber boot off of my Camaro today....and took the clamp off. It's not cut in hlaf like I thought...but....it has a piece of hard plastic on the inside.....like it supports the boot from colappsing....is it supposed to be in there? I think that's why someone had the clamp on the boot....so the hard piece of plastic inside wouldn't move............oh..and 9T1 Z-28...thanks for the offer man, but, I don't think I need one after all..
