I took my passanger side mirror while backing out of my garage in my old car. i was looking at my other side to avoid some stuff on the garage floor..... man i was pissed.... and DONT GO TO MACCO. i did, and spent 600 bucks on a shoty job, only to total the car 5 minutes after writing the damn check
that firebird was one problem after another.

that firebird was one problem after another. Thats what I think most ppl are missing here. Missunderstanding the situation of "hey! they dudes door just got dented and it would make anyone mad" and to joke about it at the wrong time (when it just happen) is just plain asking for it. The fact of the matter is.. the door can be fixed and so can the dude face. These are the things ya look back on and laugh at as time goes by.. but it still kinda sux while it happens. Maybe further in time the two of you can joke around and say "remember that time when I hit that garage and then punched you for making that comment" lol.. someday.....

Dude, I did the same thing backing out of my friends driveway. Only diff. that it was atop a hill, pich back night... couldnt see ****. Looks like the same color wood too! LOL.
Anyway, ALL of those marks will buff out. Trust me, I did it. Now You have some major dents, but getting all the rubbed on crap off of there will make it look %100 better. Take some 3M Rubbing Compound, or Meguires Stage 1 Paint Cleaner on it, and go to town. I used an orbital buffer and by hand, and there is not one mark left in my paint, and my car is white.
Good luck man, and dont some of these tools bash you... **** happens, ya know?

My other question would be, if you can't pull it out forwards, how on Earth did you ever get it backed in in the first place

Hey come on... if your buddy offered to give you an 85 5-speed Accord in good shape with cruise control, A/C, power locks, power windows, power steering, for $250, to use as a daily so that you could work on your "real" car, wouldn't you?

If the Mustang is the gociery getter, then what is the minivan?
Anyways, it seems like the more you explain the situation, the more it looks like your fault. I was 100% on your side, but now it seems like your buddy is gaining ground.

Id go punch your friend in the face again....
I loved your car dude, it almost looks unreal in your sig....
anyways if the rear quarter isnt damaged that bad theres no need to fret brotha, the door is replacable. a touchup in paint is in order as well....but i agree 100% for a snide comment like he made id go hit him in the face again, and maybe once in the gut...
I can see where these guys are comin from making fun of you for not driving and **** but in reality you did ask your friend if you were clear and he gave you the go-ahead so i blame him partially and you partially cause you had your foot on the gas...
When im not sure if im gonna make it in any situation i always creep along and ride the brake rather then furk with the gas.

Im sorry to hear about the damage to your car, Ive always liked your car alot. I hope the repairs go well for you and that they can match the paint well.
If it makes you feel better I did that into a tree with my camaro, repaired the fender fully, and then did the same thing with a garage like you did. I still need to fix the fender. The car needs a paint job anyways so its really no big deal.

One day, I was at the bank in a parking garage in my camaro, and there was a sexy 91 or so IROC that was white. He was parked right by the support for the structure, as he pulled out, he NAILED THE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE CAR. Your damage is nothin next to it, he was lookin the other way and I swear he was deaf, HOW COULD YOU NOT HEAR IT!
But he was soooo pissed that he just sat and burned rubber and left, probally cryin...
I woulda been like WHOA if it was any other car, but an fbody made me freak out!
