need help with wheel offset please

what does my car come with for an offset? i want to get the rims below, they are Eagle 077 17x8 rims, and the numbers on them are +38 offset and a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern and a 5 61/64 " back spacing.

my question is what spacers will i need and what would look the best and not stick out at all?

all help is appreciated, thx guys.

-Josh

hey josh,

i had those rims on last year...

the problem with those man is that they are a positive offset...a front wheel drive offset..

they fit the 4th gen camaros perfectly but not ours so well..

alot of things depend on if you can get those to fit your ride..

is your car lowered?? or do you plan on lowering it..?
what size tires?

many other things..

what i did, was the tire shop that i went to fit spacers for it..

a 1.75inch spacer for the front..and a 1/2 inch spacer for the rear..

the main thing that was wrong was the offset of the wheel..

our cars have more a negitive offset against the 4th gens which have more of a positive offset(front wheel drive)

if they come in a +40 offset and a +18 offset..you will be fine with the spacers that i used... (they push the rim/tire out that amount from thehub/bolt pattern)...talk to the guys at skulte www.skulte.com and tell them all the info you can and they should be able to fab a set of spacers for ya...make sure you tell them if you plan on lowering it or not..

hope this helps man
