well the rear ones install using some 3M velcro so thats really easy. the headlight pieces use these clips that you have to glue onto the sides of the headlight pockets. Many people have problems with the headlight blackouts flying off while on the interstate so you might wanna watch out for that. And yes they do dim the lights at night, anything that covers the lights will and remember they are illegal. If you're interested I have a set of headlight and taillight just shoot me an email. Oh yea GTS is out of business, whatever you find out there is just leftover stock

Put some nail polish around it, let it soak for a bit.. use a razor blade to scratch it off (if you flip it upside down, i think it works nicely and won't scratch anything)
ours (that were on there when we bought it) had some damn stickers on them saying "AINT SKEERED" (ain't scared) or something
That was a bitch to take off, and i scratched the hell out of it trying to get it off
Don't put stickers on your cars

it'll peel off in no time, thats why they apply window tint to the inside of the window cuz mother nature will just strip it right off. They do make firebird taillight blackouts i've seen them and if you can't get a hold of any, check out VHT nightshade available from summitracing. It's a spray on tint, just open up your tailights paint the inside with the Nightshade spray and you get a look of blackouts during the day and no dimming of the lights at night. You also won't have to worry about them flying off on the highway hehe

well, i got avs ones for 50 bucks, canadian, so you might as well just go to the store and get some because after shipping and everything im sure it will cost almost 50, maybe 40.. depends how much someone sells them for.
nobody mentioned this yet but how about spray tint! thats what i did on my taillights and i think they turned out great, nice gloss to them, plus its cheaper this way and you dont have to worry about them getting stolen like the gts covers, if any1 wants pics just ask

Screw covers, the look like...well, covers. I was'nt going to black out my taillights, but that's my painter signature for his cars he says, so I got darken, no covers, no tint, looks like GM factory black out tail lights.

If you want the covers get them. Get GTS. Lettering is easy to get off. Just pull it off with your f-nail or finger polish remover. To avoid theft, screw them in and no one will steal them.
Mine are GTS.

When I bought my car they had the tail lights lightly tinted- just enough to make them look right. That was when they did the 4.5% side windows and rear hatch- I like em' dark

GTO=GTS the S looks like an O on thier emblems. No they arent in business anymore. I have Wades on my rear and they seem to be working fine for me I did just get a set of ventshade ones for the front that go really well with my bra because it all tucks under it and makes the whole front of my car look smooth.

so nobody has used wades front headlights. so meri if i use ventshades does that mean that its not flush, how do they attatch also how much were they and how much do they darken the headlights and the tail lights. thanks
i bought GTS blackouts but for some reason i had problems with the installation. ended up returning 'em and getting my 60 bucks back. i dunno if i should go with another brand or use some of that tint spray some people here talked about.
Three people I know screwed thier blackouts to thier cars, 2of em cracked the lenses and the third got it right, but when someone tried stealing them, they ripped the B/o apart along with thier tail lights. They are stolen all the time. I had black outs on my 97 MC Z34,, until they got stolen. The sticker came right off with a finger nail, I dont know if nail polish would harm it, I guess not, but wasnt willing to try it. I had Nightshades on my side markers, then sprayed on my tail lights, LOOKED GREAT, better than the blackouts and looked STOCK. Black car, completely, limo tint no lights visable,Until I turned them on, then shined right through no problems. I would just get night shades and spray on the outside, not inside the lense. my .02
BTW I believe blackouts are Illegal in all 50 states for road cars. On the Headlights they are legal until dusk, then you must remove them. This is what I was told. Best bet ask a cop, thats what I did.

I only seen it at summitracing.com Its made by VHT, a good company. Never tried taking it off, I gues a paint thinner would do the trick, but dont know what that would do to the plastic lense. Best bet, get a junked lense and spray it, it takes 2 or 3 LIGHT coats, allowing to dry for each coat for no run marks, then get some paint remover and see what happens. It looked stock and never got bothered by the cops, but I got some stupid $40 ticket when I had my B/O.

Man... no more blackouts... please... If you must use the Nightshades stuff responsibly (Just my personal opinion, no offence intended - blackouts are just demeaning the car's appearence).

"as long as the light shines through the color it is supposed to be when they are on, flash. etc THEY ARE LEGAL"
But if you hit them and no light shines through then they are illegal so like all the ricers with the blue turn signal bulbs illegal
