Anyone have the series 2 or whatever? Instead of covering the tail lights up completely, they have little slits or vents in them so some of the light still shines through.

one point that everyone seems to be missing is that blackouts DRASTICALLY lower the amount of light that shines through while the VHT stuff does not. blackouts are dangerous at night IMO. And because blackouts decrease the amount of light output it makes them illegal, try passing inspection with the blackouts on i guarantee you fail just for them

i propped them up on my headlights and i didn't really like how much they dimmed my lights. I live in a fairly woody area and theres always wildlife on the roads in some parts of town so i didn't want to mess up my car due to not being able to see them. i guess its all a matter of personal preference too. best bet would be to keep em on during the day, and just throw em in the backseat at night its not too bad

Ok so has anyone yet to use the spray tint and take a pic??? I need a option. I have some real bad white glaze over mine. The center section is real bad. Would like to find a cheap fix.

Considering that he posted that pic well over a year ago, don't expect Jawz to respond.

I've used VHT's Nightshades on a couple of my vehicles. You spray it on the outside of the lens. Nightshades is a transluscent paint, and should be applied and maintained as such. I've noticed that several people have painted the amber portion of their taillights with a transluscent red to make solid color tails, Nightshades does the same thing. The most important thing when using Nightshades is to make sure that you follow the instructions to the letter. Including proper temperature when applied and time between coats. Remember that it dries darker than when first applied, and it is much easier to stop and see how dark it gets, then go darker, than it is to go too dark and have visibility problems. Also, if done right, it looks very factory. If you don't follow the directions, it ends up looking "chalky" and dull and a lot of times too dark. It works best on clean, good condition lenses, and may highlight imperfections in the plastic. I would recommend that you test it out on some junkyard tails before applying to your best pair.
