I really wanted blackouts on my black 83 Firebird, but I cant find any blackout kits for the parking lights. So I decided to put my brain to work (for a change). I thought about using the blackout spray, but I have seen too many ricers with botched paint blackouts, and its hard to get an even coat. So I went to O'Reillys and bought a small roll of limo window tint film. I removed all the parking lights, cut pieces to shape, and stuck them on - man it looks good! I had to uses 2 layers of 20% tint, though, because 1 layer doesnt completely hide the color. Its been 3 days now, and no peeling or bubbling, even in 90 degree weather! I think i will post a tech article, but does anyone know how to? BTW, I will get pics soon...
