removing paint from lenses

I recently bought a pair of IROC clear turn signals, but they have paint on them. I tried a couple of ways to remove it (sandpaper, a razor, even my secret weapon Goofoff, which has never failed me!) Does anyone know of any way to take paint off the lens without signifincatly scratching or otherwise damaging the plastic? Thanks guys.

Did you try mineral spirits on a very soft cloth?

try some compounds (3M Perfect It III works well)....but..NEVER you lacquer thinner...it will eat that clear plastic and make it look like poop.

I'm not familiar with mineral spirits, what is it? I'll see if I can get a hold of some of that 3m stuff, too. I'll let you know if anything works.
