Wheel scratches, but I don't want them polished
Ok, I bought some Formula wheels from Third Gen Resource for like $400, and there were all these little tiny scratches on them, about as wide as a piece of hair and a centimeter long. I thought "It'll come off when I take off the clearcoat". Well, I took off the clearcoat and they are still there. Little tiny scratches. I'm so bummed. Is there any way I can get them out? I don't want to "polish" the wheel, (ie. sanding it down to look like chrome) because I don't like the look. What else can I do? Is it just oxidation in the scratches that lets you see them? If I use a metal polish will it help? Argh....

Basically you have to get the level of paint to the same level as the deepest part of the scratch to eliminate it. Does that make sense? Once it is all at the same level then no more scratch!
Hope it helps.
