can I polish my GTA type wheels?

I don't even mean the inside part that is painted. These wheels are old now, can I polish the outer lip/rim area to make it shine again? Is there a clear coat on those that would get ruined?

I would be willing to put the work in if I knew how. Thanks for anyone who can help me out!

Yes there is Clearcoat on the lip and like others, just strip it and polish it up with some Mothers aluminum polish...

This is my old GTA wheel. I stipped the clear and polished it up with Eagle or Mothers polish.

What kind of stuff did you guys use to strip the clear?

Did you polish the wheels by hand or did you use some kind of drill with a polishing tip?

Thanks again guys. Hey Zeph, those wheels are beautiful. That is what I am going for!

I used this stuff called Aircraft remover. It's a spray on paint remover. I repainted my crosslace area black as well at the same time.
I hand polished the wheels.
This is with the rims stripped,
