Knight Rider Movie

Didn't know where to post this but...
I work in television in Vancouver, there is a reliable rumor going around about David Hasselhoff producing a remake of Knight Rider as an action/comedy feature film.
No word yet about casting or where it will be filmed.

what better way to introduce the "discontinued" fifth gen trans am? that would be wicked sweet. But no more hasslehoff, i saw him at this fair b4 he was up on stage singing stairway to heaven...terrible. they should use someone younger and bada$$, like colin farrel, vin deisil or something, and a hot co-star (sarah michelle gellar, kirsten dunst) this could be our victory guys, bwahahahaha...itll show the world whos really the best by showing the muscle cars beating the hondas and other jap cars, itll be our response to FATF, and itll be a sweet sweet victory. its a GREAT idea

Yeah I heard that it's already in the works. They've already hired some script writers, but they've worked with Disney, so I hope it's not gonna be gay. I know, I can't wait till it comes out, I really hope they use a Trans Am!!! That'd be bad *** if they used the original '82 T/A, and then introduced the 5th gen T/A!! BTW, my car is oficially Kitt now. I got it painted!!! GO ME!! Laterzzz

OMG i had a dream about this.. i forgot who was the driver, but it was a 5th gen TA and they were kickin a$$....but how bad would it be if they brought in a cobra as kitt.. or a supra... I dont want vin as mike knight... his fate was sealed with f&f, and XXX kinda helped, but he still crashed that vette. I hope disney doesnt make it, cause it would gay out the image of fbodies. I wouldnt be surprised if KITT is a import. ALL the kids love imports!!

I saw a local news cast about this. The anchor people said something about not being able too use the firebird. Because it had been discontinued several years ago.

They were clueless....''

KITT 4000 was made with a dodge stealth and the movie sucked! I hope they gonna use a Trans Am... or at least a muscle car...

Yes, it was a stealth, but not just any stealth. They used a base model verson, not even the R/T! WTF, I believe that KITT did a FWD burn-out near the end of the movie. I have it on VHS, so I guess I'll look at it tonight.

yes exactly!! a FWD burn-out... wow very impressive... MOPAR sucks... new ones anyway... cause those Chargers were bada$$... anyway.. on the Knight Rider's site Hasseloff said he wouldn't be the main actor... and that they would try to make a f&f kind of movie aimed for the teens...

Yeah, its going to be way beyond ghey.
Hasslehoff and ricers.

I don't think they'd use a fifth gen T/A anyway. Not that there will ever be one........

what if they use a stang...i think i will be insulted forever if they use a cobra... a GTO would be cool, but i doubt it... It would be nice if GM gave them a little hint into a 5th gen gunnabe released... i would be so happy..

they based the modified stealth in knight rider 2000 on the pontiac banshee concept.. which later gave way to the 4th gen firebird style.

the concept itself was quite ugly.. to me.. and the car in the movie was no better.

either way.. i hope the new movie is more satisfying than the new knight rider game for PC and PS/2. i was a little disappointed, to say the least.

Saw this on knightregistries.com Haven't read it yet, but I'm sure it's got something to do with the KR movie. But yeah, Hasselhodd will be the executive producer or something, he's not gonna act. I think I heard something about some guy from Australia being considered for the main character. I know, I couldn't be more vague, oh well. I'm too confused on how to get my turn signals/fog lights mounted on my Kitt. Anyone have any ideas???

sad to say but i think they only used a trans am in the origonal knight rider caus everyone wanted one back then, they were "in"...so does that mean the new KITT is gonna be a civic si? or a WRX? YUK! my old manager once told me that back in the 80's the 3rd gens were the ricers of the time cause they would think they were all big and bad with their new cars, and the guys with the 60's/70's muscle cars would blow them away, and when the 2rd gens came out with gfx and aero wings the muyscle car guys made fun of them for it. all im sayin is its kinda ironic, but somewhat true...i would take a 1st gen f-body over mine any day, just like i would take the TA over a *****

they used a 3rd gen T/A cause Pontiac had a shipload of defected ones and they got it for cheap... and because it had a futuristic look... as for the trans am being some kind of ***** in the 80's... well no, all the 80's cars sucked engine wise... and it has been that way since the late 70's... my friend has a 79 T/A with a 403 and I smoke him with my 305...
