Idea for Formula wheels - what do you think?

I have a set of formula wheels which im gonna put on my car, but the clear on all of them looks really bad. I was going to polish them, but Im starting to think this might look better. I was thinking of polishing the outer lip to a satin finish, then painting the inner part a light metallic gray, or maybe a little darker charcoal metallic. What do you guys think? This isn't my car, by the way

It looks pretty good, but personally I would polish them.

They look dirty, I'd just polish the whole rim.

more polishing and maybe some lugs to match to, and get some center caps that are black, that would be my idea......

I ended up painting the inner parts of my wheels and polishing the lips. I first painted the 'spokes' a gray color, but I soon changed it to black.

I also thought about polishing the entire whee, however the center caps are plastic, and I did'nt want to have an entire polished wheel and a plastic center cap in the middle; or worse yet a 'polish paint' color spray painted center cap. The center cap on the wheels you're talking about might be different than mine though. Either way it will look better than before, be sure to post some after pics.

i have thought about doing this to my base firbird wheels (they LOOK the same, minus the rivets) . i am a fan of the torque thrust D on older cars, and tthat is what this reminds me of. i like the idea, but im not sure how much i would like the product, at least on these style wheels. if you do it, post pics!

Comparing a polished wheel to that, theirs not much to determine which looks better.

yes that looks much better. How many hours did you spend on each wheel?
