If you still have not saved your sig you should do so within the next week. I've got limited space and I'm going to start deleting them in the order I created them. Oldest sigs first.
Ryn28, I'm using Photoshop 7.0 and for my earlier sigs I was using Paint Shop Pro 7.0. You need to learn how to manipulate layers and masks. A mask is excatly what it sounds like, it hides part of the image. You can use masking to hide parts of a layer by making a lasso selection then going to Layer ->Add Layer Mask -> Reveal/Hide/all selection.
I recently upgraded from PSP 7.0 to Photoshop 7.0 because I know someone who works at Adobe. He gave me a free copy of it. Otherwise I'd still be working with PSP. No way can I afford a $700 image editing program.

I would recomend posting LINKS to the pictures if you are going to post multiple. While I have no issues with this thread because I'm on Cable it would make it easier to post one picture, and link the rest of them.
No problem GTAjim. I hoped you would like it.

Not bad, layering and masking are definitely something you get better at as you go along. There are also several other photoshop tools that I don't know how to use yet. I'm working my way though the manual. Its a lot of reading though.

you need to first upload it to your own space. Most ISP's provide you with a small amount of space to work with. Or you do the car domain route, but eventually they catch it and add their on "cardomain" logo to the picture.
I can't host them on my own space indefinitely as I'll eventually run out of room and bandwidth.
but the [img] tag is what you need. Its [img]URL[/img ]. Ignore the space in the last image tag, I just did that so it wouldn't try to make it a image.

Well, if you want to upload something to your webspace you'll need a program like WSFTP, and you'll need to know the ftp address of the server.
Usually a ISP will have something like ftp.[n].net. Examples below:
ftp.telocity.com
ftp.aol.com
ftp.comcast.net
You'll need a password as well. The password is usually the same as your login one, or in AOL's case the password for your screen name. Talk to an AOL representative because otherwise I can't help you. I know the procedure for uploading files, but you need to find the specifics out.
If you know of another AOL user on these boards PM them. They may know what I'm talking about.

Glad you like it. I'm cutting the cars out using whats called a mask. I talked about it in this thread, up a little ways. The post with 5 signatures, including Dingley's is where you get it.
Masks are just a real life idea taken digitally. A mask just hides part of an image, I didn't actually erase it. It works great that way because if you find out in the finished signature that you cut the car wrong you can easily touch up the mask and the original image is still all there. You just have to unmask it. ^_^
Check out my signature link, "TGO forum sig pics" to see all of the signatures I've done so far for the board. I have LOTS more signatures, I just decided to not list them all. Thats about 62 signatures otherwise.
If you want to start doing signatures you need to get a serious image editing program. There are a few different level's to it though.
JASC's Paint Shop Pro is about $99 and is an entry level image editing program.
And at the opposite end of the spectrum is Adobe Photoshop wich costs about $700. I didn't pay for it though. ^_^ Got it free from a friend that works for Adobe. He got it with a company discount, and didn't like it. So I got it from him.

Labrat, I can't really use those pictures because they won't resize well. Mainly because they are so blurry. If you have pics of teh cars seperate, or better pics then attatch them to an Email and send to wjrneo2@comcast.net.

Onyx, the forums will display PNG format. I posted them specifically because PNG format is better for transparencies than GIF or JPG format.
Dream, thats because yahoo redirects the file request to a different server.

Joshp14, 92RS, Arrow, and SydwaysTA expect yours by the weeks end.
I made a list, but I'm usually pretty tired from the day when I do them so I occasionally miss them. If one doens't show up in this thread by the weeks end PM me and I'll bump you to the top of th list.
With that said, here's another one. This time for Labrat.
