Corvette rims?
Corvette rims?
I have a 88 camaro RS. I got an offer from a guy who said he would sell me 98 Vette rims for $250. Just the rims, no tires, But 4 for $250. That's a kick butt deal. I want to put them on my Camaro but wasnt sure if id need spacers or offsets. So would it work on my car and what would it take? and DOES ANYONE HAVE PICS OF THESE RIMS ON THEIR 3RD GEN?

I've read that it can cost up to $300 for them. Not sure on this, so don't quote me as all knowing. I just know that spacers are expensive.
I found a set of spacers in my rear glove when I bought my car, they were 1.25" spacers, didn't need them so I gave them to my uncle for free.

yea they're about $150 a pair. If you don't feel like getting spacers, you could pick up a 4th gen rear for around $300 bucks it'll bolt right up which will give you posi and disc brakes if you're lacking in that area. This way you would only need spacers for the front. If you don't decide to go that route you can get spacers from Thirdgen Resource and www.skulte.com. Don't forget to do a search, its been covered

omnipotentgoku(sp?) has that style vette wheel on his car, search for him and you will see pics. I have y2k vette wheels as well as 1991 Z-28 and Kandied91z is running z06's.
I have a 4th gen rear and I am running 18x9.5 all around so I needed a 2.25" spacer for the front. Those are 17x8 or 9 fronts I think so 2" should work in the front.

You need the same spacers that you would need for 4th gen wheels. These should be clearly listed at skulte.com. I think they're 2.5" in the front and 1.25" or 1.5" in the rear, but in either case, I'm sure if you email or call skulte, he'll send you the right ones.

Yes, you will need spacers to mount them on your car, and YES!! Buy them if you can get them for $250!!!
Even if you do not want to mount them you can sell them for ALOT more!

you really need to know the measurements or offset which is the important part.
if it's the stock c5 version (original) then check out andris skultes site as it will tell you what you need.
my adapters where just under 450.
good luck.
