Hatch Opinions.

I don't really want to go on a rant, however I have something to say about the notch back kits and hatches and what not.....I think that they would look good, if that seam was sealed....but because it stilll opens like a hatch...I think it looks awful...that seam going all the way around, to me looks silly, now I know it would be so impratical to putty that seam because the hatch is very useful, especailly when you go to change a tail-light bulb, but that is why I do not think that they look good, from the side anyways.

You can't tell me that this is an ugly car.

beauty is in the eye of the viewer, therefore I think its ugly...from the back, the seam isn't noticable, therefore it doesn't look bad, but if you were to take a side shot..I would hate it just because I don't think that making your car look like a coupe, but then having that seam there...I dunno, something about it that does not look right to me.

I prefer the glass hatch myself. I do like that particular car though.

I think the notch back kit looks like ***.... looks like an "after thought" doesn't belong on the car.

And your point is ?
You're not buying one nor apparently want one for your car, you just made a post to whine about how they look. Good tech content..
*edit.. just so you know, the above picture is not an OEM style notchback.

This DOES relate because, this is about appearance and detailing, and I am just simply stating my opinion about the notch....and I would like to see pics, and hear other opinions.

 the car itself looks good, but that aftermarket notch ruins the look. strictly my opinion.

Personally I think that looks ugly...not to mention that the blind spots in a thirdgen aren't already big enough WITHOUT that junk on the car....

Well since you asked for hatch opinions my opinions are that notchbacks are absolutely nasty looking! The stock hatch looks a billion times better. But that is only my opinion and no opinion is right or wrong.

moron

i have a aftermarket notchback and i guarantee that it looks perfect especially after i get done painting it tomorrow everyone will be surprised how good it looks. to dpav , your a moron if you dont like it just deal with it and dont come on here whining about it if you dont like it dont get one however genuine notchbacks were few and far between and although there were only 600 some odd cars with the notchback more and more people are looking at getting notchbacks to go on there cars so i say stick it if you dont like it.

Really man, how is he a moron? All he was doing was stating his opinion. He said he doesnt like how it looks. I don't like it either, but you do. Does that make me a moron or you a moron because you do and we dont? Ofcourse not! It's your car and if you like it then great. All he was saying is he thought it was ugly. Everyone has their own opinions and just because his differs from yours doesnt mean he's a "moron." After all, this is an appearance board, and appearances are based soley on opinions.

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one and they stink!

Just keep your opinions to yourself, and everyone will be fine.

You're new here, so I'm sure there are more than a few things you have yet to learn, and the very first thing you should know is that nobody here flames anyone else for what they like. We're all f-body fans, whether we like the stock look or 10,000 aftermarket parts, and you should realize this. Namecalling, harrassment, and general immature behavior is not tolerated by the moderators, but further than that, we follow those rules because we're all here to learn, help out, and get help and opinions when we need/want them.

So relax a bit, it doesn't matter if he likes the notchback or not. I don't like them either. Help out when you can, make some friends, and learn as much as possible. It's what makes this site great.

Thanks to those who came in my defense. I never insulted anybody or said anything THAT offensive about notch backs, therefore I don't see why people have to come swinging at me, however what somebody COULD do is prove me wrong by either showing me a cool looking notch, or showing me that, they used putty or some type of bond (I think it would be hard between metal and plastic) to fill in that body line....I doubt it has ever been done, but I think it would make the notch look a million times cooler, that is why I posted, to get opinions about THAT, not to make fellow members angered.

I like the notchback Redraif, Lt1guy are going to produce. It comes with a removable glass, If you have ever had your rear hatch open just a bit while driving down the road then you know how the air flows thru the car. Better than ac well almost.
Now for the targa hatches, they do look like azz. It still has the body lines of the stock glass hatch, plus the diminished visibility.
