I am just wanting to know from people that have done this already. I am wanting to get my car painted but may not actually do it myself. I will try to get the primer coat put on the car myself because if there is anything wrong i can always sand it out. I am going to be getting some heavy duty rust preventor to put on my car first but would just like to know about how many quarts would it take to put down a fairly decent coating on the entire car. The paint can be thinned down 20% with laquer thinner and this paint can be covered with any other type of paint products. The paint is $30 a quart and would just like to know how many quarts I should order to use on my car. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

 

well i painted and primed my car last week for fun,and i only needed like 2 quarts i think, i spent like 50 bux on paint and stuff.it was cheap,but for a quick thing i cant complain
