Painting wheels with "anodized-look" paint

I was wondering if anyone has used this stuff and if you think it will hold up to being painted on to a wheel... Before I go on here is the article from super chevy, this pics are huge, sorry...

Page 1
Page 2

I was thinking of painting my 15x7 five spoke wheels that metalic blue and polishing the lip...I think it would look real nice (can't afford new wheels) I just dont know if it will stand up to that abuse/be hard to clean? If I had to remove it I also don't know how hard it would be... anyone have any experience with this stuff?

(edit: The pictures are dark, they look a lot better in the mag)

if you used a good clearcoat over it it should hold up fairly good

yep i used the blue stuff, I painted my stb. I used the recomended base coat... but ifyour doing wheels polish them and then spray the blue over the polished shinny parts. Or if your doing where the wheels were painted before then use the proper base they want you too. I like the look of it and it is a cool look...... its just if you use the base it looks good but if you paint over bare shinny metal it comes out nicer. heres a pic of the brace its hard to see from a pic but it looks nice in person.

I say clear over it all to try to prevent chips... im not sure how well it will stick to alum.?
