HELP! new IROC center caps wont go on!

Hey guys , i just recieved my new center caps for my 16" rims via Ebay..they cost me $40 for the set...problem is they go on a little but dont seem to snap into place they feel like they r a bit to big or the clips on the ends to snap into place behind the lip...anyone experience this problem and any solution...thanks!

p.s. they are aftermarket caps , look original, but are all plastic..i think the factory originals had metal clips, not positive though.

I bought some aftermarket caps for my 16'' Iroc wheels via eBay too. Mine are the 88-90 style and are silver in color. I didn't have any problem at all installing them; however, they do fit much more snug than the originals. I wouldn't be afraid just to pop those suckers in there, or if you want, add a little grease around the wheel lip to get them to slide in easier. Also, the aftermarket and orginal wheel caps on my wheels are identical in every way (all plastic), so as long as your sure you bought the right style and year of caps, I'm sure you won't have too much of a problem installing them.

thanks riggs for the input..i found the problem..seems the seller sent me the 2nd generation caps to me (88-90) mine r '87 iroc rims, the ones they had posted on ebay ... seems like they screwed up big time and i will get my money back! Only thing i can think is they screwed up the order or they ran out of that style cap and sent me a different one thinking i wouldnt catch on..NOT from this 3rd gen owner.

Good deal Iceman, hope you get it resolved soon. I'm always kind of paranoid when I order something off eBay, but I'm sure you'll come out OK. Stay Icy
