cleaning with power
cleaning with power
hi everyone, i just had most of my car repainted, and i haven't really "washed" it since, just hosed it off with water, however I was forced to get water and a kleenex to take some bird crap off the bumper it got scratched, obviously i'll never be so stupid again, but anyways yea it got scratched, not badly, but it did, and it pisses me off. Anything i can do about it? I was originally thinking of investing in a buffer so i can buff the car once in a while, just glaze and wax, i wouldn't compound...to scared so anyways to my point...
i've seen people in my neighborhood using power washers to clean their cars. does anybody have one? do they use it to clean their car? Is it safe? If it really does a good job, so I don't have to use a brush or anything to clean the car then i'll invest in one. If so, what is a decent one, I don't wanna spend more than $200 for one. Just something that will clean my car, not my deck. Thanks for the input people. By the way, the car is black, so EVERYTHING shows.

My car was power washed last weekend, came out good. However, DO NOT use it anywhere near t-tops. No, I didn't but just the thought of all that pressure on the seals...
As far as buying one, can't help you there.
But I noticed you're from Long Island. One of the guys in a car club I am in, 100 Percent Stock does power washing. Our next meet is Saturday 5/31. Come on out.
