After reading the review on MGC and F113, I decided to stop at the local hardware store and get some MGC.. (I'd like to try Zaino and F113, but I'm fairly impatient and had the urge to do some waxing last night)

Anyhow, here's the pic after it was washed and before the wax..

And here are the two after shots.. (was getting late)

and ...

I was very impressed on how well it worked and how easy it was to use..

Anyhow, let me know what you guys think..

Cheers,

Nice, but is it a Firbird with Formula decals or a Formula with ground effects?

Yea yea I know.. The people who owned it before put those decals on... It's just a well optioned Firebird.. (missing AC only I think)

Let me ask you guys a question. I tried this wax and it looked great when I first put it on, but it ended up turning white and leaving swirl marks. Any of you have any tips to avoid this? I'm thinking of stripping the wax and starting over, either that or getting some zaino. It gets really hot here and I have yet to find a wax that would last longer than a month or two in this heat.

Swirl marks are tiny little scratches, usually caused by not using 100% cotton when washing or waxing.

very reflective stuff. Without trying to catch a reflection(on the side with no sun)... The 60 Cad Coupe Deville has MGC as well--my Great Aunts Cad in original mint

Maguires 3 step 'deep crystal' I think it's called, got rid of all my swirl marks. I'm not sure if it's available anymore. Make sure you use a good 100% cotton towel.

Good lookin cars everyone. It's hard to get a good reflection picture with a bright red car, but here is the best I could find of my car after a fresh coat of MGC.

I washed, clay barred, washed again, and waxed my car last week. The clay bar by far took the longest and was very hard to do. In this weather, I had sweat pouring off of me. It took me about 2 hours to clay bar the car and it was a *****. Definitely turned out a lot better than just plain washing and waxing. Here's a pic.
