power polishing iroc wheels

power polishing iroc wheels

what kind of power tools should i use to polish my iroc wheels? are there any that anyone would recommend? like sander, grinder(with polishind wheel or somehting on it obviously), etc

I would invest in some paint stripper, and I just use a Craftsman drill with buffing pads on it for polishing.

Well the only power tool I used on these was the Mouse sander. With it, I sanded from 80 to 220, then did the rest by hand (320 to 2000). Although I did use a Craftsman Buffer to buff in the Mothers Aluminum polish, which only takes a few minutes.

Granted I've seen the results of going up to 400 and then using compounds, and it does look better, but I dont have the money to buy all of the power tools and do it that way. But maybe some day. My way is cheaper, but takes a whole lot longer to do.
