Look at what I did to my GTA wheels

I put these black reflective decals on my wheels. They illuminate (gold) brightly when light reflects off them. Invisible during ordinary light. What do you's think?

Hmm...dunno if i like it. Then again, I'm a sucker for the gold GTA wheels. ^_^ I like the stock appearance!

it's reflective vinyl for highway signs etc.. if you see a traffic cone at night that has a reflective white band around it - its the same stuff except a different color.

thanks Badazz,

its very durable stuff. the only thing i'm not sure of is if the wheels get REALLY hot it could temporarily soften up the adhesive.

that looks pretty damned cool. did you just apply it to the individual laces on the wheels? or how does it go on?

something different, i like that.

the decal is 1 piece. it goes on all at once. all decal "spokes" are 1/8" wide.

RedTTRegal, that's pretty sweet. Here's a thought: If it wouldn't damage the decal, I would recommend putting a clear wheel coating over top of it, I think it would add to the durability, that way if you do hit a stone or something, you won't be going .

just a thought.

92Transam i made it myself and just put some on ebay

Quick_Trans_Am it may be possible to clear coat them. i would have to find a clear coat that sticks to the vinyl. this reflective vinyl is pretty thick (a few times thicker than a bumper sticker) and very durable so i wouldn't worry about stones. the only possible problem could be excessive brake heat getting the wheels real hot and softening the adhesive.

also its simple to just throw the decals on instead of also clear coating. if you were to go as far as clear coating then why not just spray on the reflective substance all over the black webbing and then spray on a translucent black paint.
