I know that most people are shaving the door handles, and ive seen a couple flush door handles, i like the flush ones but prefer the box handles not the rounded ones. Would 91 CRX handles work? they look just like the chevy truck handles. how do i go about doing this mod?

 

I'm using the 95 grand am handle. A friend of mine added them one for me. He made a template out of 14gauge sheet metal in the form of a rectangle. Then removed the stock door handle and cut open a rectangle in the door. Tig welded the stock door lock whole and from the inside of the door tig welded the custom sheet rectangle. Of course the activity was NOT as easy as it sounds. Post the add on he used bondo/sanding to fill in the rest.
I ended up getting the 95 grand am rods to make the door locks work. I was able to use the stock door rod handle w/o any mods.
