Camaro Bra?
Im thinking about gettin a camaro car bra. I have a red 92 RS. Would it be a reasonable temporary solution for the cracking paint under the headlights and ground effects? how do u guys think it'd look?

i use my bra to hide craked/missing paint on my front bumper makes your car still look good till you can fix the paint! i say get it for temp. coverage...but dont let durt get in there too much and take it off every now and then or the cracking paint could spread

Well they are alright, if it's a temporary situation.....
It looks better then cracked, broken, or any other damage to the front end....
But if the front end is in presentable condition, the bra should be left off....

well, heres the short story of my car:
i have a 91 vert. looks PERFECT except for the front nose. almost all the paint flaked off it... the rest of the car was perfect.
when i bought the car, it had a ratty nose bra, so i spent the $60 and got a nice new one. when its on, the car looks PERFECT.. its great.
however, after having a piece of wood get kicked up from a truck in front of my on the hwy, the bra tore... the wind took care of it, and it came apart.
rather then spend another $50 on a nosebra heres what i did
first i chipped off all the paint that would come off. in other words, any loose paint that will fall off later, i took off.
i wet sanded the remaining paint until it was almost smooth on the edges with the plastic, and the top was roughed up
cleaned it off and since my car was red, used red sandable primer. i used dupli-color since its what matched my paint
after spraying, i sanded it down again
i repeated thoes steps until it was perfectly smooth with no trace of bumps from the old paint edges.
then i matched up dupicolor paint to the paint on the fenders and hood... get whats the closest, doesnt matter if it says import color or domestic. after all these years, your paint is no longer the stock color anyway.
i sprayed the nose, and feathered it a bit with the fenders and nose.
(btw mask EVERYTHING when you spray the primer and paint... if you have to, remask after every coat)
now it looks like new, noone knows the secret except for thoes close friends that i showed the nose to before i painted it.
