I don't know what kind of tech articles to post. Probably everything I know came from here.

In the pics on my site, the manual tranny shown in any of the pictures of my car would be a T5. The auto tranny in there now is a 4L60E which is coming out since I don't want an Auto anymore.
I really hate them after drag racing my Formula Yesterday. I hate not having control of the car.

I'll make a short list of the parts I would recommend for an LT1 Swap.
LT1/4L60E Engine/Tranny Combo with a Speartech ODB1 ECM and Harness.
Walbro 255lp/h intank pump
LT1 Radiator and Fan setup
Fuel line adaptors.

That is all you need to do the swap. This is a plug and play Engine setup and the setup we used on my friends 82 Trans Am LT1 swap.
He went with a Griffin Radiator and Flex-Lite fans though, about $450 for them.

 

That's the first time I think I've heard the LT1 swap mentioned as a plug and play operation

 

His LT1 setup was plug and play, thanks to the custom Harness and programming by Speartech.
I'd get that harness too if I could afford it. It's $700 for the MAF version and $600 for the SD version.

 

Yeah the prices on the wirring harnes are killing me so i think i'll just go to the junk yard and get one instead.Man $800 thats alot oh well.
