powder coating question

I am going to powder coat the center part of my GTA wheels I bought. The wheels had a grey under gold under white when I bought them. I have striped the wheels down. I would like to powder coat them in gun metel gray. That is the color of the bottom of my formula. I can't find anything close to this, can powder be mixed to get this or does anyone know where I can get the color I want. I have cheked estwoods site but they don't have it. I will stob by the local paint place when I get a chance but would like to know before hand. Oh yea a number or code would help.

Try here: http://www.columbiacoatings.com

Most paint shops won't have that stuff.

Yes you can mix powders to get a one off color. I do it all the time.

columbia powders are ok

I prefer Dupont or PPG and TIGER Drylac as my 1st choice

This SLP setup was a custom mix I did

would the factory gun metel grey be a matalic or should I go wit a non matalic and add in some crome or somthing.

After a mounth of searching a friend finally rembers hay We have a powder oven and set up at work....... but at least he finally told me LOL

I was about to send them off and pay 65 a wheel, now I should be able to do them for 65 a set.

Hey do you clearcoat your stuff, every place I talked to said they wouldn't do it because it is likely to yellow in the process.

Clear all depends on the base you use...

Example If you put to much clear on Almost Chrome Or Mirror Silver it will dull it. If you put alot of clear oven either will will turn it light grey.

It all depends on the base coat really....

now A glossy clear over Mirror Black or Red Wagon looks awesome.
