Well unfortantly if its a daily driver they will look like crap in a few weeks, especially if you roll them up and down. Lexan scratches easly, now If you could find a rear glass made out of the same material the TTops are (acrilic plastic) that would probably last longer. Side windows, no unless its a race car, and then you only need the pass side.
As for DOT I don't know, but I doubt they are approved, but you probably wouldn't get into trouble, and if you did say the car came like that, you didn't realize it wasn't factory, they probably would let it slide.

ok.. that makes since. well.. i rarely drive the car (it has 200 miles on it since oct of '02). so its not out in the sun or anything. i wonder where i can get lexan or that acrilic plastic kind.. and how much it costs for a windshield or rear hatch. wonder how much weight it takes off too...

a lexan windsheild is going to need metal renforcing strips behind it like a nascar window. I dont think its worth the hassle to do lexan unless you have a hardcore race car.

even if you do it right, it will look like absolut crap. i grew up around race cars and the like, and i have yet to see a car that i like with lexan windows.
Replacing with lexan for weight gains is like going on a diet and dropping 30 pounds. I mean, I replaced one window and it didn't feel any more than 15lbs. I mean, two doors is 30lbs and the rear class might be 30 (doubtful). So, 60lbs..... just get a lightweight kid to drive it in the 1/4 mile.

On the '98 the stock weighs 60 lbs., and the Percy's weighed 15. So a savings of 45lbs. aint bad. I don't remember the address, but they have a nice website. You can get it through them or JEGS sells it as well.

NastyL98_T/A is right...
Jegs sells the pieces seperately or as a kit which included ALL the pieces. I think the kit runs $1000+ though.
I thought about this myself, but I have other things to buy before I worry about glass.
Try it out and let us know if it's worth it
