Firebird Emblems

Anybody ever replace the bird stickers on their firebird with emblems from a second gen, like the red and chrome metal emblems? I was looking at those pics of TPIROC's ride, and the ss emblems he used have some depth to them and I thought hey looked cool.

I replaced the thirdgen bird on the nose with one for a fourth. I thought it looked subtle and slick. Other than that all I have is a small "FORMULA" decal at the OE location on the rear bumper.

Are you talking about the body colored ones on the lt1 birds? I never considered using one of those, thats a cool idea.

I got mine from my local Pontiac dealer. They are available in any color the Firebird is. Mine was about $20 with my mechanic's discount.

I have thought about this also?

So you can buy 4th gen emblems at the dealer.

Where can you get second gen emblems? I found a few pull aparts, but they dont let you take the emblems unless the body panel is damaged.

It really figures, I bet if I needed a second gen fender, all I could find is banged up crap, but since all I want is the emblem, the fenders are perfect.

Do you have a pic of this? My nose is birdless right now, and the vinyl shop can do a 4th gen bird, no 3rd gen ones in the computer.

The fourth gen bird is a stick on item but it's not a decal like the third gen. I don't have a pic of it but take a look at the nose of the next fourth gen you see and you'll get an idea. It's like an applique- it's 3D to a degree.
