I'm glad you all like my car. I wasn't too sure about the hood at first. I thought it may have been a little over the top, but I'm happy my fellow 3rd Gen'rs approve. I'll be posting more pics in the future as I make upgrades, exhaust, wheels, etc.

i like the color and the hood, even though it doesn't match the lines of our cars at all. i think your car would look better a little lower to the ground...but i have no room to talk

Wow, your car looks awesome. It's honestly one of the best looking Camaros I've ever seen. I'm a little jealous. That color is great. I'm sure you agree that the RAII hood looks like it was made for our cars. I bet you've gotten lots of compliments, especially the hood. Probrably the best $500 I've spent on the car so far. Sorry I don't have any closer pics of my car. I've been really busy lately. But I will post more in the future.

Thanx Mr. X. I do get alot of compliments on my car! Not many like the hood in the pictures, but once they see it in person they change thier mind! Did you get your whole car painted? It does look great, awesome color! I may also puchase the "SS" hood and go back and forth between the two!

 

brandywine is a "topcoat" in a sense that has no real color it's determined by who paints it and how many layers. brandywine is house of colors candy red basically.

 

What color is that than? Lookjs like a "brandywine" color or a dark cherry red. Looks nice, I am going more for a flame red I think. Not sure yet. Definetely want to know what color that is though

 

never said it couldn't be a variation of "brandywine" just making the point that there are alot of shades of brandywine and with that lighting you wouldn't really be able to tell.

 

I understand what you are saying, but I was just wondering what color Mr. x selected as the color of the paint. There are so many different reds, I am looking for something semi unique, but easily matched in a leather piece, as I am accenting my new interior with the same color red.

Why wouldn't you like a convertIble? There is a reason that they resell for so much more money. You cant tell me that you would rather have a 400hp hardtop than a 400hp convertible for everyday driving, cruising, or car shows... No comparison Now the hood I may agree with you on. I think a nice SS hood is what I will end up going with.

What's up, Maximus I did get the whole car painted. I had a small fender bender so I just decided it would look better if I had the whole car repainted. I like the SS hood alot but it seems that everybody has it already. I hate being like everybody else. I guess that's also why I like the convertible so much. It was a real pain in the *** to find one in decent shape for a reasonable price. The SS hood isn't as dramatic as the RAII. Even if you just glance at the RAII for a sec there's no way you can miss those huge scoops in the front. The RAII looks much more aggressive. But I respect everyone's opinion. We can't all like the same things. That would make life sooooo boooorrrrriiiiinnnggg. Thanks for your opinions guys. As for the color, Jstcrzyengh, I'll have to go and get the exact name from the guy that painted it. I'll let you know in a few days.

I live in Miami, Florida. How do you keep your car looking that good in Jersey weather? The weather here is nice exept for all the rain.

The rain isn't a problem,come winter time is when I'll start to worry! This will be the first winter w/ the new paint job! Pray for me!!!!!! I wish that I lived in Florida!!! Must be nice!!!!

 

I would just get a beater car for the winter, like a honda civic or prelude or something else like that (slow and ugly) your car is too nice to be ruined by salt and it will wreck it.

 

that color is great i also like that its a vert, but i HATE RAII hoods they look bad on firebirds and and look horrible on camaros

 

Got to agree with the hood. Looks like two big nostrils But that's just my 2 cents and nothing more, but heck I like the twin turbo hood, most people hate those more than the RAII hoods.
