how to get rubberized coating out of fender wells?
how should i go about gettin the rubberized coating out of my rear wheel wells. i have a lot of rust forming behind some of the rubbercoating so i need to get it all out and sand blast the entire well then use some type of bed liner in there.
I had to fix some spots of rust there too. I used a paint scraper to get the big chunks off, wire brush (cup type) on a drill to get more off and then scubbed it with a rag soaked in mineral spirits. I then pop-rivited a patch in and sealed it withe POR15 patch. I want to do the rest of the inner fenders but will probably wait til winter.
I had a fuel line let go near the tank and the gas did a great job removing the undrcoating too-

Heat it with a propane bottle and do a bit of scraping.
