I dunno if they make them small enough - most spinners are like - what - 18's or so? (I think they look stoopid. I'm wondering when a r!ce car will have them, actually...)

No way, Jose.
All I know is those are the only rims I ever see on MTV's Cribs and it's all rappers and thugs who have them.

If i ever see spinners on a f-body i will find whoever did that travesty....rip the spinny piece off....and beat the owner of the car with it. Spinners are what happened when MTV ****'s who probably couldnt point out the radiator under the hood of a car tried to make cars look cool. Stupidest things ive ever seen and they shouldnt be on any car let alone an f-body!

They look crappy and ghetto on any car, and I hope I never have to see them on any F-Body. Not to mention they usually go for upwards of $4000 per rim and at least $5-600 per tire to fit a rim that size. If you got that kind of dough to blow on something like rims, why don't you buy a vette?

I've always thought that they should weight the spinny part so that it always stays still...It would look like your wheels aren't spinning but your car is moving. Just a stupid idea.

If you really respect your 3rd gen you wouldnt do it. They just look way to tacky on a car.

Well he did ask for opinions. And when you read enough opinions on here, you'll see that not everyone puts things nicely all the time. Ya just gotta get used to it

I think it would look flat out bad. And some of the spinners do lock, so it looks like there not moving. I saw it ona denali, and i confused me for a min until a friend told me they lock. Either way i dont like the rims really. But ona third gen or any f-body? no way!

Sorry i just think spinners are the stupidest thing ive ever seen but i will agree i was completly without tact. Spinners are the creation of corporate genuises who prey on the minds of stupid people everywhere. OooOOoo look it spinns....theyre heavy and add im sure a bunch of weight at no benefit on top of not being perticularly interesting from my pov....and on a camaro??? somethings wether you like it or not are just wrong.

every brother and there mother has those on there ltd's and caprice's, and burban's around here, not to be rude, but normal twentys dont look right on a third gen, unless of course they are bbs LM 20" inch wheels, then you are out of 8 grand and have bad **** looking wheels.

spining 20 or bigger would like total crap.

i would say no biger than 18" for street application.

but hey, it is your car, do what you want to it to make it yours, makes it easier to spot it at walmart anyway. just look for the bling bling 3rd gen

thanks
anthony

I say if you like it, do it. Who cares what other people think. Personally I'm not a fan of those types of wheels, but thats just me. You might have different tastes, so do what you like.

well, yeah, i think they would suck too....

this was a wrong place for me to blow my lid. im just tired of seeing alot of posts on things that actually might be decent and some ******* comes in and starts yelling R_I_C_E or ******* or some other stereotype. AND i especially hate when people say they are gonna do something to the owner of the car...id like to see somebody try that **** on me, they'd get a couple swift cuts from me knife.

Some highschool kid had his car in the shop a while ago. Should have seen the spinners on that thing LOL It was an early 90's honda, stock rims and plastic hubcaps painted gold for spinners rofl. He used rollerskate wheels on the hubcap and attached it to the stock hubcap. Didn't work very well Wish I had taken a picture.

I find it funny that everyone threatens violence againist someone who does something they don't like......lol....

I hate red shirts, in fact i hate them so much that if i see any one wear a red shirt, I'm gonna stangle them with that shirt.......and just to spite them after i hang them, I'm gonna burn the shirt, and do the non-wearing a red shirt community a great favor.......

Red shirts are a travesty against the rest of the world.....Red shirts just don't belong on people IMO, they belong on dogs.......

:lala: :lala: :lala:

Don't take this the wrong way......

Ok, my husband's gonna hate me for saying this under his name - But I like it! Yes, the first time I saw them on an SUV I was like "Oooooo, it spins." But does that make me stupid? If we could afford it I'd want them on my GP - but we've got better things to spend our $$$ on. I have to agree with that one. Maybe I'll wait until they're out of style so I can get them cheap.

If you had to "think" that hard and that's the most inteligent thing you've got to say I feel sorry for you, bud.

i like some of the designs and think for a true show vehicle that very rarely moves it's a neat idea. however the mechanics behind even the most expensive set are very cheaply made and i have yet to see a design that would fit the 3rdgen body.

the prices have come down along way since spreewell first released them some odd years back so if thats what you want go for it. understand that your options on fitment will be limited to mainly offsets that will require adapters and while they work quite well when new if not taken care of they stop spinning very quickly.

they look nice when spinning but when one or two wheels are stuck while the others are spinning it just looks plain dumb.

For the price of ONE spinner, I could've bought CASH my black bomber AND my GTA. As if we'll ever be able to afford such things - if I can affrd those rims, I'd rather get a Hummer.

when i i started this post, i never knew it would get so big! to be honest b4 i found the great deal on a 87 firebird for $400, i was gonna put all my $$ into putting 18" spinners on my 98 ford escort. ive come to the conclusion reguardless of how much you hate me. im gonna do my car how i want and im gonna put the spinners on the bird. i love them, i have 10xs as many rim mags than i do performance mags. im gonna be different and if anyone says if they see the spinnaz on my thirden, they better rip them off real good cuz i got a great security system. besides the alarm, some bullets will be waitin on em. plus yall talking about spinners costing thousands per rim. check superbuytires.com, big time dealer. whole 18" set? $3500.

they get even cheaper then that..... they are basically a solid mass that's bolted on to the hub area. they make adapters now that will make spinners out of almost any wheels in reason.

i say do what you want...however i can't imagine it looking nice on a $400 bird or an escort.

*shakes his head* but why?!?!? just because you think a 20 foot high rise spoiler looks cool doesnt mean its a good idea to put it on your car. I'm waiting till im nice and old because i have a funny feeling as to the direction our world is going. You guys ever seen the movie demolition man? I forget the black dudes name whos in the movie but at one point he says something along the lines of...have no fear gentelmen, the world is now a pus.sy as.s whipped version of its former self." Ya think spinners look supa fly? Well it doesnt really surprise me that people would. This thread is essentially pointless because its all about opinion but i still think it appeals to the cave man in us...oooo look at it spin....actually ive seen some spinners that would be really nices....that is if you ripped the spinny piece off and just left the rims underneath on some of those spinners have incredible looking rims hidden underneath!

Just because you dont think it looks good makes it a bad idea? Explain that one to me. This thread is pointlessly filled with your repeated opinion...
