Right now I have a 92 camaro. I have the hood with the blisters and i have racing stripes similar to the heritage stripes. I was wondering if i wanted the SS hood, is the width of the ram air slot and the total width from the outside edges of the blisters the same width??? i am curious to see if my stripes would work on the SS hood and still look the same. Anyone that would know please let me know. Thanks

 

It wouldn't work, you need to get the stripes painted on.......

My stripes are painted on. Thats not what i'm worried about. I was wondering about the width of ram air thing to see if the stripes would be the same size on the SS hood. So the stripes would still have the expansion in the same spot and look good.

 

I was wondering if someone with a SS style hood could measure the width of the ram air thing at it's widest point closest to the wind sheild......thanks

 

Do a search i have measure the entire SS Induction part and posted a picture with the measurements.....

 

thanks for the help.....i think the hood will work with my stripes and look pretty bad ***. But i got one other question/concern. Is there any fitment problems with this hood, also, will i need to use hoodpins at all or with the factory latch and the factory shocks hold the hood down at high speed??
