firehawk wheels question

alright, i'd like to know if SLP's firehawk rims for a 4th gen will fit directly on and not stick out, since they are a small amount thicker. Also does anyone have a firehawk or one with the thin fivespoke firehawk rims. just like the ones in the pic.

i really like them and would love to see what they look like on a trans am.

update- just read a bit more and said you needed the spaces to make the offsets correct. Does that mean that the spacers make the wheels stick out the same amount or do the spacers make them look normal.

If it's for a on a third-gen, then spacers are needed because the 4th gen firehawk rims have too much back spacing. With out spacers, the inside of the wheel/tire will interfere with sway bars/inner fenders/other wheel-well components long before it ever hits the hub/studs.
They aren't much different than ZR-1 or other late-model Corvette and Camaro rims with regards to needing spacers.
With the right spacers they shouldn't really stick out any more than original wheels - the added width resides on the inside within the wheel-well for the most part. Spacers might make them stick out a tiny bit more that original wheels, but it aint much.

There are tons of pics on the site of third gens with those rims - search for "firehawk" in the titles and you'll find a bunch. I was considering a gold colored set for my 89 IROC but they got away from me before I could buy. I know what you're thinking - they might look pretty hot, I agree...........
Later, K
