17" 4th gen Camaro SS take offs

I'm getting a set of 4th gen 17" SS 10-spoke takeoffs and I was wondering about tire sizes and who's wheel adapters to get.

I was thinking about Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s @ 275/40/17s all the way around and FBody Motorsports adapters that they have on sale [2.0" front, 1.5" rear].

How's that sound to you guys? Just checking before I go on a buying frenzy

Thanks, TJ.

a thought... if your rear is kinda crappy and you want a solid posi disk with larger gears... get a 4th gen rear. Prices ive seen are about 250 and up for the rear, and I hear spacers for the back are just as much. Maybe swap a rear end so you end up with cool rims and a new rear!

I thought about that, but my rear is pretty fresh with a new posi and 3.73 gear about 20k miles ago. Disc brakes as well so I really don't have a reason to upgrade right now.

Kumho's are good value for the dollar, but I wasn't too impresssed with the traction when it was cold outside. Way too much wheel spin. As long as the adaptors are under $300, then it's a decent deal.

Tirewise, I'd recommend the BFG G-force T/A KDW, awesome tire, but about $40 more per tire for the 275/40/17.

Yeah, since last night I've been looking at getting a set of BFG g-Force T/A KDWS tires in that size.

I'm not sure if I want to put the new wheels on during the winter, but it's probably my best bet, otherwise I'll need to buy another pair of Ecsta 711s for the front, because the 16" KDWSs on the front are pretty much shot.

I was hoping to get out of this for ~$1000 for wheels, tires, and adapters, but it looks like I'm going to be pushing $1250 instead. I better get a set of wheel locks considering I only paid $2000 for the whole car! LOL

Edit: BTW, I know about the Kumho's traction sucking when it's cold outside. I was leaving work today and I was pissed because the store manager cancelled my shift because he cancelled floor cleaner, so I stomped the loud pedal and left quite a cloud behind me. At least I got a thumbs up from the cart boy for Home Goods. Haha.
